KABC St. Augustine Beach Weekend October 28-30th

Please join your fellow already registered members for a fun ride weekend in St. Augustine Beach, FL. from Friday, Oct. 28th through Sunday. October 30th.  The rides and the reception are for members only.

The early registration/ticket fee is $35, which will increase to $45 as of 9-1-22.  This fee includes a T-shirt and offsets some of the costs for the committee to go to St. Augustine to plan rides and events.  KABC will also provide appetizers at a welcome reception Saturday evening with a cash bar available.  If you have a non-riding guest attending with you, we welcome him/her to the Saturday reception...please add the "free non-riding guest ticket" when placing your order to allow us to plan accordingly.  Registration for the weekend will close at 5pm on October 21st.

Members must register by 9-15-22 in order to receive the T-shirt.  This is a rain or shine event.  No refunds will be issued after 9/30/22. The registration deadline is 10/21/22 at 5pm. 

The committee is reviewing existing routes from established charitable bike rides, has contacted local bike shops and has conferred with the North Florida Bike Club for suggested routes across all levels.  The overriding goal is to ensure safe routes for everyone participating in this ride.  While routes may look good on paper or via someone else’s personal experience, the only true way to test a route is to ride (not drive) it and that is our goal with all the routes/levels that will be offered for the Out of Town ride.  

The schedule for rides will include a Welcome Ride, Friday October 28 at 2:00 pm; a Main Event Ride, Saturday, October 29 at 9:00 am; and, a Departure Day Ride, Sunday, October 30 at 9:00 am and appetizers provided by KABC and a cash bar at a Saturday early evening reception.

St. Augustine Beach is approximately 3 and a half hours away from Hilton Head.  Depending on personal preferences, some KABC members may want to book a hotel room for Thursday evening.

The Out of Town Ride Committee encourages everyone to book hotel rooms now in advance of definitive routes to ensure room availability.  Northern Florida in October is a popular spot and rooms are projected to be scarce.  Please refer to the website for a list of suggested hotels in St Augustine Beach.
