BIKE THE BEACH

October 8, 2022

The Grand Strand Cycling Club would like to invite you to the 2nd Annual “Bike the Beach” on Saturday, October 8 in Myrtle Beach, SC. 

This event is presented by the Grand Strand Bicycle Club and the City of Myrtle Beach’s Bicycle & Pedestrian Committee. We are hoping to bring more awareness, advocacy, and encourage cycling at all levels along the Grand Strand. 


“Bike the Beach” was established in 2021 to support youth cycling while honoring and celebrating Whit Oliver’s life and legacy. Whit Oliver grew up in Myrtle Beach and was a “Cat 1” cyclist in the United States and Europe. 


“Bike the Beach” will provide 3 routes to choose from at registration: Whit’s Coffee and Beer Metric Century and the 30-mile City Showcase Loop are $50; and the 10-mile Family Ride is no cost to participate.

BIKE BLUFFTON

Sunday, November 6

Inaugural event for 2022!  Explore Bluffton, SC with four route options: 62- mile (metric century) road; 30-mile road; 10-mile pathway; and 2-mile family fun on the Bluffton school campus.  Bike through beautiful Palmetto Bluff and Sun City!

PEDAL HILTON HEAD ISLAND

Celebrate National Bike Month with a ride benefitting the Boys & Girls Club of Hilton Head Island.  Routes ranging from 10 - 62 miles.  Club members will receive promo code (coming soon!) for registration. Consider the Pedal-for-a-Kid Challenge to raise extra funds for the Club and a get a bonus bike jersey!

LOWVELO

Sunday, November 6

LOWVELO is a bike ride fundraiser that supports Hollings Cancer Center at the Medical University of South Carolina. The event expenses are covered by sponsorships, so 100% of rider raised dollars go directly to cancer research and stays locally here in the South Carolina community.  There are 4 ride routes as well as stationary cycle classes. The fundraising commitments vary by race route. Use promo code RIDE22 to waive the $50 registration fee.
